Students in the business program at Cal State San Marcos (CSUSM) are doing a comprehensive feasibility study for the City of San Marcos regarding possible “signature events” that could be held in the community. The students are completing the study as part of their senior experience at CSUSM.

As part of the study, students are conducting an online survey that asks residents to rank the types of events that they would like to see in San Marcos. The survey will be available through Oct. 31.

They are also doing extensive research on events held in other communities around the state and across the nation. Once students have collected all of their data, they’ll prepare a formal report to present to the City Council. The findings will then be used to explore the possibility of creating a “signature event” in San Marcos.
