SAN MARCOS – Contestants are being sought for the annual Miss San Marcos and Miss Teen San Marcos Pageant, which will take place on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009 at the San Marcos Community Center, 3 Civic Center Drive. Applications are available at the Community Center. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Jan. 14. Young ladies 17 years of age who are high school seniors through ladies 22 years of age who have resided in San Marcos for the past six months are eligible to enter the Miss San Marcos Pageant. Teens between 13 and 17 years of age who have resided in San Marcos for the past six months are eligible to enter the 2009 Miss Teen San Marcos Pageant. The winner of the San Marcos Pageant will serve as an ambassador for the community for the upcoming year. Along with the queen, princesses will be selected by the judging panel during the pageant.
