An overlay project began today on San Marcos Boulevard from Rancho Santa Fe Road west to Business Park Drive and will continue through August. The project is part of the City’s comprehensive street maintenance program.
Daytime traffic controls will be in place weekdays from 7:30 am to 5 pm. Night work is planned for Wednesday, July 10 and Monday, July 15 with traffic controls in place on those days from6:30 pm to 6 am on the following day.
During work hours, travel lanes will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Motorists will notice that the roadway will be rough until the final pavement is placed.
Although traffic will be maintained on San Marcos Boulevard during the project, traffic delays are anticipated and motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
