I found out about this amazing brand new BBQ place that is SO GOOD! It’s called “Barn Burner” and it is located at 1035 La Bonita Dr. (760)744-2445….on Lake San Marcos. (It is the old “Quail Inn” located right on the lake). The downstairs overlooks the lake, and has been renovated, complete with cow print stool covers and red and white checked tablecloths as well as an arcade for kids and a great bar with a fabulous view. The upstairs, beginning in January will become a “high end” Steak House.
My husband and I spoke with manager last night when we went in for dinner, and he was so kind as well as all of the other staff. The atmosphere is adorable, service fabulous, the food was AWESOME (I had baby back ribs) and the best part…….IT IS SO CLOSE TO HOME! It took us 7 minutes to get there from our house. We have been wishing and waiting for a place that we could stop and have a drink, maybe watch a game, without having to travel too far. Our wishes were answered! Now we would love all of our neighbors to know about it too. I know, my husband and his friends that live here in San Elijo have been wanting a sports bar nearby…..this is just what they need! Sports, drinks, great food, and family friendly. Doesn’t get better than that!
They have happy hour Mon-Fri and great prices.
Wow! Just ate there with my wife. The wings were still cold in the middle, food was bland, roles were something out of Smart & Final and the sides were horrible! I don’t even think the food was BBQ’d. I would not doubt they used liquid smoke. The food was extremely expensive for the quality. On a good note the service was excellent and a fun atmosphere.
