The City of San Marcos has announced that several streets in the community will receive a slurry seal in the coming weeks as part of the City’s ongoing commitment to maintain its roadways. The application of a slurry seal significantly extends the life of existing pavement by protecting the undersurface from the effects of aging and the environment.

The work will begin on Thursday, May 12 and may last through early July. Residents in the affected areas will be notified prior to the start of work.

Roads affected are as follows:

Bent Avenue, Craven Road, Elfin Forest Road (West and East), Linda Vista, Mission Road, Mulberry, Puesta Del Sol, Rancho Santa Fe, San Elijo Road, Schoolhouse Way, South Santa Fe, Twin Oaks Valley Road and Via Vera Cruz. The San Marcos Sheriff’s Station will also receive a slurry seal.

Residents may review the complete work schedule below. Also, weekly updates on the project will be posted with more detailed information.
