Following is a list of important announcements and upcoming events from the San Elijo Hills Association:
St. Patrick’s Day Party: Monday, March 17th
Erin Go Bragh! We cordially invite our residents 21 and older to come celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us at Cafe Stoked on Monday, March 17th from 6:30PM-9:30PM! Residents will be delighted with delicious Irish fare, drinks, music and dancing in the true spirit of Ireland!
Attendance to this event is limited. Cost is $5.00/person. You must provide a check (no cash will be accepted) payable to San Elijo Hills to Christine Cruz in the Visitor’s Center in order to reserve your spot! All reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please feel free to contact ccruz@waltersmanagement.com with any questions. Don’t forget to wear green! This event is open to San Elijo Hills Residents only.
Trails Committee
Do you enjoy hiking, biking or strolling any of the 18 miles of trails in San Elijo Hills? Are you looking for a way to become more involved in the community? If you answered “yes” to both of these questions then you may be perfectly suited to serve on the Trails Committee! Home Safety Reminders
You can never be too safe when it comes to protecting your home. Please keep in mind the following reminders:
- LIGHTING: Ensure homes are well lit at night. Immediately replace any exterior light bulbs. Place landscape spotlights in dark areas outside homes. Have interior lights on timers to create the sense that someone is home at all times.

PHYSICAL SECURITY: Lock your doors, gates, windows, and other entrances consistently.

REPORT: Be a good neighbor and a good partner with your Sheriff’s patrol team, and report suspicious activity to the Sheriff’s office.

One-Way Streets in San Elijo
Traffic flow is oftentimes an issue in the community, particularly around the Town Square where many of the streets are one-way. According to the CA DMV website:
Except when a sign is in place prohibiting a turn, a driver, after stopping as required, facing a steady red signal, may turn right, or turn left from a one-way street onto a one-way street. A driver making that turn shall yield the right-of-way to pedestrians lawfully within an adjacent crosswalk and to any vehicle that has approached or is approaching so closely as to constitute an immediate hazard to the driver, and shall continue to yield the right-of-way until the driver can proceed with reasonable safety.
For the safety of our residents, please be aware of pedestrians and oncoming traffic and yield the right-of-way!
