SAN MARCOS — This fall’s freshman class at San Marcos High likely will attend classes on three campuses during their four years in high school.
The 50-year-old school is scheduled to be demolished and rebuilt as the first project funded by Proposition K, the $287 million bond measure passed in November. Students would be begin the fall 2011 semester on the current campus on West San Marcos Boulevard, move next winter to a temporary campus a few miles away, and return two years after that when the new high school is complete, district officials say.
