Two people arrested at sobriety checkpoint in San Elijo Hills

Two people were arrested for driving intoxicated during a sobriety checkpoint Friday  May 27, 2011 in San Elijo Hills per the Sheriff’s Department. The checkpoint was in the 1600 block of San Elijo Road at the entrance to the old San Marcos dump in San Elijo Hills. Eight vehicles were impounded for a range of violations and 15 citations were issued. A total of 645 vehicles drove through the checkpoint and sheriff deputies conducted nine sobriety tests.
