The City of San Marcos and the San Marcos Arts Council will be offering activities for all ages during the annual San Marcos Alive Artwalk this Sunday, Nov. 4 from 10 am to 4 pm at Old California Restaurant Row, 1020 West San Marcos Boulevard.

“This year’s artwalk is going to be bigger and better than years past,” said program coordinator Cathy Cronin. “Not only is it a chance to bring the community together but, by moving the event to Restaurant Row there are more entertainment and activity options.”

Expecting to draw close to 5,000 people, this year’s free art celebration features a chalk art competition and demonstration by amateur chalk artist, Saul “Picasso” Figueroa. Other activities include a craft fair, fine art exhibits, a student art show, art demonstrations, a community mural painting project, and hands-on crafting. With three stages, entertainment will include headliner Clint Perry and the Boo Hoo Crew and performances by local schools and dance studios.
