SAN MARCOS —- A suspect that reportedly broke into a home and stole a resident’s purse Monday morning was arrested after a short foot chase, authorities said.
Deputies were called about 9 a.m., after the suspect allegedly broke into a house on Questhaven Road while a resident was home and stole the purse from a car in the garage, sheriff’s Sgt. Pete Miranda said.
Authorities chased the suspect, who was cornered about 10 minutes later on Clifftop Avenue, Miranda said.
No one was hurt, and the suspect’s name was not available late Monday.
