SAN MARCOS – The 14th Annual Santa’s Magical Village will take place Saturday, Dec. 6 from 3 to 8 pm and Sunday, Dec. 7 from 9 am to 3:30 pm. The event will be held at the San Marcos Community Center, 3 Civic Center Drive and is presented by the City of San Marcos. Visitors may shop for special holiday gifts while browsing through the many arts and crafts booths. This child‐sized magical village will offer free activities for children including ornament making, sand art, decorating holiday candles and more! Entertainment including elves, bands and holiday carolers will be featured throughout this weekend event.
The spectacular lighting of the San Marcos holiday tree will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6 at 6:45 pm. Santa Claus will have the honor of climbing to the top of the tree and turning on the thousands of twinkling lights. Entertainment for the tree lighting ceremony will begin at 5 pm. Breakfast with Santa will be held on Sunday, Dec. 7 from 9 to 11:30 am in the Community Center. Tickets are $4 for adults and $2 for children and may be purchased at the door. Pictures with Santa will also be available for $2. These holiday events are just steps away from the San Marcos Civic Center Sprinter station.
