The City of San Marcos is accepting applications for three vacancies on the Budget Review Commission and seven vacancies on the Youth Commission.
Applications are due to the City Clerk by Monday, June 1 at 5:30 pm. Appointments to the commissions will be made on Tuesday, June 23 after the City Council conducts interviews with candidates during its 6 pm meeting.
The Budget Review Committee (BRC) works in conjunction with the finance director and is responsible for conducting a thorough and analytical review of the annual maintenance and operations budget and the capital improvement budget for the City and Redevelopment Agency.
The Youth Commission works in conjunction with the community services department to investigate all aspects relating to youth activities; advise the City about participation in the development of programs for youth; and promote the general welfare of the young people in the City.
