Lennar will unveil the model homes at its new neighborhood of energy-efficient homes at Terraza in San Elijo Hills on June 26.  The two-story homes, which range from 2,182 to 2,721 square feet, feature an extensive package of energy-saving features, including a SunPower® solar system.  Homes in the first phase are priced from the mid $500,000s.

Terraza at San Elijo Hills offers three luxurious floor plans with three to five bedrooms and a diverse range of architecture that reflects Spanish Colonial, French Country, Craftsman and Prairie styles. The sales office is located at Wild Canyon Road and Festival Road in San Marcos.

Terraza is Lennar’s first all-solar community in San Diego County. “San Elijo Hills was the perfect community for us to introduce an all-solar neighborhood because it is such an ecologically sensitive community with 18 miles of hiking/biking trails, horse trails, and 1,100 acres of open space,” said Marianne Brown, vice president of sales and marketing for Lennar.

In addition to the solar electric system that has been specifically designed for each of the 64 homes in the neighborhood, Terraza homes include an extensive PowerSmart package as a standard feature. Designed to promote sustainability, energy savings, resource conservation and comfort, the PowerSmart package includes a tankless water heater, enhanced insulation, double paned windows with new generation low-E glass, water-conserving toilets, faucets and shower heads, energy-efficient lighting, insulated air ducts and other construction innovations.

“Complementing the array of Green amenities is an emphasis on luxury and livability,” said Browne.  “These three floor plans offered feature gourmet kitchens with granite countertops, stunning master suites with spa-like baths, and charming touches like front porches and decks.”

Among the high quality appointments are stainless steel GE Profile appliances, Category 5 high-speed wiring, and surround sound speakers.

San Elijo Hills is an award-winning master-planned community known for its panoramic ocean views, charming towncenter and active lifestyle. Developed by The San Elijo Hills Development Company and managed by HomeFed Corporation, San Elijo Hills encompasses and surrounds the highest point in coastal North County.

The social hub of the community is a walkable towncenter with a classic town square, visitor center, two schools (an elementary and middle school), four urban-style townhome neighborhoods, neighborhood shopping, and a generously appointed 19-acre park and community center.

San Elijo Hills has been honored with the most prestigious community design awards in the building industry, including a Gold Nugget Grand Award for the towncenter and a Gold Award in the “Master-Planned Community of the Year” category at The Nationals at NAHB.

The San Elijo Hills Visitor Center, which is open daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., is located at 1215 San Elijo Road, San Marcos.  For more information on San Elijo Hills, visit www.sanelijohills.com or call toll-free (888) SAN-ELIJO (726-3545).

  1. I am green with envy- looks like Lennar paid off the Mello-Roos? Gotta feel for those Luminara owners right below paying about 500/month.

  2. Its curious that they are releasing new properties when they have so much standing inventory.
