Do you find it hard to motivate yourself to eat healthy and/or workout on a daily basis? This is usually because our days are stressful enough between work and school, that we simply don’t have the time or energy for anything at the end of the day. Well, San Elijo Hills residents may be walking into some luck just in time for Saint Patrick’s Day!

One way to focus on a healthy lifestyle is through Yoga. Yoga originated in India, and is “a Hindu spiritual and ascetic (strict) discipline, a part of which, including breath control, simple meditation, and the adoption of specific bodily postures, is widely practiced for health and relaxation.” Lucky for us, it is hard to miss Ignite Yoga Fusion Studio while walking through San Elijo Hills. Upon entering into the studio, I was greeted by friendly staff and trainers. After meeting with Tristen Campanella, I had the opportunity to better understand Yoga and its purpose. Tristen, took the time to explain that Yoga is a practice and a sport in itself, which relaxes the body and gets rid of toxins. In particular, Ignite Yoga Fusion is slightly different in ways that they practice yoga in a studio that’s heated up to 100⁰F. This is called Hot Yoga, and allows the muscles to loosen up, decreasing the chance of injury. The studio provides a variety of classes and memberships. Classes are provided for men and woman of all ages during different times of the day and week, to fit everyone’s schedules. Memberships include single, private, monthly, family, and a variety of other options. All you have to bring is yourself, a yoga mat, towel, and a bottle of water. In case you forget yours, mats and towels are available to rent for $2.

Ignite also gives a 20% discount to students, military, seniors, and teachers! In addition, when signing up with the studio, you receive your first week free! Just Mention San Elijo Life.

So San Elijo Hills residents, what are you waiting for!? Take an hour of your day to come by the studio and reduce your stress. If you have children, childcare services are provided in a joint effort by Ignite Yoga Fusion and A Colorful Universe next door. By practicing hot yoga a few times a week, an hour a day, you will be more relieved of stress and tension while getting in a great workout!
