With a population of almost 7,000 people, San Elijo Hills is a very busy and eventful community. With all the businesses and events, a lot of behind the scenes planning is needed to keep everything in order and the residents happy. The center of San Elijo Hills revolves around the Community Association and the Visitors Center. Recently, the centers location changed to around the corner from the new wine bar called Relm. At the center, all current, new, and potential residents come for information on housing, business, and community activities.

Inside the Visitor Center you will find Christine Hurdle, who is the San Elijo Hills Community Director. Christine is mainly responsible for the community newsletter, planning community-wide events, and keeping community members up to date and connected.

For many years, the residents of San Elijo Hills have enjoyed a variety of fun family activities and events. Some of the most popular and recuring are the Concert in the Square, Oktoberfest, Tree Lighting, Independence Day Celebration, and the Easter Egg Hunt. Local vendors and businesses help with all such events and encourage a good turnout. Currently, events such as Movie Night in the Park and Adult Night are being planned for the summer of 2012, so keep checking San Elijo Life or www.sanelijohills.net  to be informed on the dates and times.

The community is all about looking great and making the residents happy. So if anyone has any questions, concerns, and/or ideas about a possible activity or event, they should stop by, or contact the Visitor Center at 1231 Elfin Forest Road West Suite #111 or call (760) 798-1765. For event ideas, you can email Christine Hurdle at [email protected]. Let’s keep making San Elijo Hills an exciting place to live!
