The City of San Marcos Community Services celebrates the 21st Annual San Marcos Trails Day on Sunday, October 14. This free hiking event will begin at 9 am; participants may register at 8:30 am. Participants will choose from an easy 3-mile or challenging 6-mile hike along urban trails. San Marcos Trails Day is held each year to promote the 60-mile trail system in the City of San Marcos and to encourage membership in the Friends of San Marcos Parks and Trails.
Trails Day is held in conjunction with the Horse Heritage Festival and the 6th Annual Poker Ride ‘n Stride. Activities include an open house, food, petting corral, pony rides, pumpkin patch, crafts, and fun for all ages.
