After school gets out on Friday, June 7, head on over to the fountain in San Elijo Hills Town Center for the 2nd Annual Lemonade Stand and Dessert Sale to benefit Feeding America San Diego. A group of local school children will be selling lemonade and sweet goodies starting at 1:30 p.m. to raise money for all the children in San Diego County that rely on Feeding America San Diego to feed them over the summer when they are out on break.
There are many children in our county that rely on their local school cafeteria to give them a wholesome meal each day, during the school year, but when the weekend or summer break comes children are left without those meals and often go to bed hungry. We want to make a difference! We want them to know that we care and want to help insure they continue to get meals through the Feeding America Backpack program.
