Following is a list of important announcements and upcoming events for San Elijo Hills Association:
Trails Clean Up Day: Saturday, September 20th
The trail system within San Elijo Hills is such a beloved feature of our community! Please join us on Saturday, September 20th from 9:00AM-12:00PM to help clean up the trails! Volunteers will meet in the Town Square of San Elijo Hills at 9:00AM. Walk-ups are welcome but pre-registration helps us with site logistics, so if you know for sure you want to help, please register online at http://www.cleanupday.org/cleanupsites.htm?ID=B&ID2=622.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: All volunteers should wear comfortable closed toed shoes and sun protection. Help reduce waste by bringing your own reusable water bottle, gardening or work gloves, and a bucket to collect litter. Note: every participant in CCD needs to sign a waiver; anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent or guardian signature to participate!
California Coastal CleanUp Day (CCD) is a statewide event and the San Elijo Hills trails system is a designated CCD area. We need volunteers for this truly awesome event!! The first 50 people to attend will receive a voucher for a free taco from Rubios, students are eligible for community service hours, and prizes will be given out for the most trash collected!
Together we can all make a difference!

Save the Date! Oktoberfest: Sunday, October 19th

Town Center Fountain & General Water Restrictions
It has been brought to the attention of the HOA that there may be concerns regarding the fountain in the Town Square during California’s drought. The water in the fountain is re-circulated and there is no additional waste of water while the fountain is running. It must be run regularly to keep the equipment functioning properly. We have been working with the Vallecitos Water District to ensure that all restrictions and guidelines are being met.
On a related note, the Association has dialed back the landscape irrigation in areas where water restrictions are applicable. Therefore, you may notice our grass areas in the community are under stress. While much of the irrigation on our perimeter slopes is not subject to water restrictions due to type of irrigation system in place, we are sensitive to the drought conditions and have restricted water use where possible in these areas.
