Double Peak School, set to be the first comprehensive K-8 campus in the San Marcos Unified School District, is beginning to take shape along Elijo Road near the sprawling San Elijo Hills housing development.
Grading was recently completed for the 125,000-square-foot, two-story school, which will take up about half of the 36-acre school site. Construction on the $75.5 million project began this week.
