Join San Marcos Mayor Jim Desmond and the San Marcos Kiwanis and Boy Scouts this Sunday June 14th, Flag Day, 6pm – 7:30pm in Walnut Grove park, near the barn, for San Marcos’s annual flag retirement ceremony.
Special guests the San Marcos Firefighters, Betsy Ross, Abe Lincoln, Johnny Cash and Benjamin Franklin have already RSVP’d.The Kiwanis have been collecting worn and tired flags and the time has come to respectfully retire Old Glory. Please join in a ceremony worthy of our flag. Veterans are most welcome.
Please bring your love of country, your singing voice, maybe a blanket/coat, and a lawn chair.
