Mardi Gras Celebration!
Let the good times roll! This Mardi Gras celebration will be the best one yet!
The San Elijo Hills Community Association would like to cordially invite our residents 21 and over to our Mardi Gras Party at Café Stoked! The event will be held on Friday, February 5th at 6:00PM.
Residents will enjoy delicious food, music, dancing and contests in the true spirit of New Orleans! Maybe you can be crowned the King or Queen of Mardi Gras or win a prize for most festive! Don’t forget the drinks! Our signature cocktails will be sure to delight!
Attendance to this event is limited! Cost is $5.00/person. You must provide a check (no cash) payable to San Elijo Hills to Liz McCardle in the San Elijo Hills Visitor’s Center in order to reserve your spot! All reservations will be taken on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Disaster Preparedness Seminar
Is your family prepared for an emergency? Did the 2014 Coco’s fire surprise you? Did you know what to do? Would you like to be more prepared?
Let’s be prepared together! Please join us on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 6:00 PM at the San Elijo Hills Recreation Center. 1105 Elfin Forest Road, San Marcos, CA 92078.
The City of San Marcos Emergency Preparedness Manager, along with 2-1-1 San Diego, will present information to help our residents be better prepared for major emergencies or disasters.
The City of San Marcos Fire Department Battalion Chief and staff will also be present to discuss the hazards faced in our community and how you can be better prepared to handle these hazards.
You will be provided easy to use resources to assist in developing a family emergency plan, and opportunities for more information and training. San Elijo Hills Foundation
The San Elijo Hills Foundation is looking to fill a Board positions! If you are looking for a great opportunity to get involved, this is the perfect way to start!
The San Elijo Hills Foundation is a California public non-profit organization created to support and enhance projects that improve the quality of life within San Elijo Hills.
The Foundation brings community resources together to address community needs, and relies on the support of the community through the sale of merchandise, fundraising events, sponsorships and donations.
The Board meets monthly, typically on the first Monday of the month at 5:30, right here in San Elijo Hills. Please stop by the San Elijo Hills Visitor’s Center (open daily 10:00AM-5:00PM) if you are interested or e-mail the foundation at [email protected].

Lost and Found Box at Questhaven Park
A shout out to Girl Scout Troop 4495! The local Girl Scout Troop came to the Board of Directors with an amazing idea on how to achieve the Bronze Award with a great project-organizing and implementing a lost and found box at Questhaven Park! With a little help from the HOA, it all came together, and the box is installed and ready for use. Troop 4495 will be emptying the box monthly and donating unclaimed items. Way to go Troop 4495!
Save the Date! BunnyPalooza 2016
This year’s BunnyPalooza will be held on Saturday, March 19th!
The event will include an egg hunt, crafts, snacks and even an appearance by a very special Bunny! Be sure to mark your calendar and keep an eye out for additional information in the April newsletter! We promise it will be “eggstremely” fun!
