SAN MARCOS — San Marcos staple Old California Restaurant Row is about to undergo a major overhaul that will include demolishing a row of vacant storefronts and building new eating or entertainment spaces as part of a grand plan to connect with neighboring properties and create a walkable entertainment destination.When the dust settles, look for a grand promenade, walkways, open patios and public gathering areas at the site along San Marcos Boulevard. Look for a pathway directly from the center to the ticket window at the nearby Edwards Theater. And look for a crowd of millennials.
