The 7th Annual Belgian Waffle Ride will pass through San Elijo Hills today on the Copper Creek and Garden trails and summit Double Peak before finishing in San Marcos.
The premier and hardest event of it’s kind and the most unique one day cycling event in the country: Over 146 miles of road and dirt in North County San Diego.
This unique event is hosted by the Lost Abbey Brewery and the Challenged Athletes Foundation (CAF) is the beneficiary.
Yes, there is dirt, gravel, sand, water crossings, hills, wind and pain.
The Waffle is 146 miles, 40 of which are in dirt. 13,000 feet of climbing.
The Wafer is 68 miles, 18 of which are in dirt. 7,000 feet of climbing.
