Local families can receive a free child car seat during a community giveaway on Saturday, September 19, at the San Marcos Sheriff’s Substation.
Representatives will help families select an appropriate car seat based on each child’s age and size. The event is being presented by County Supervisor Jim Desmond, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office, the Oceanside Police Officers’ Association and the County of San Diego.
For families replacing an expired or outgrown seat, the giveaway offers meaningful help with an essential—but often expensive—piece of safety equipment.
